Our MP has sent us an update on the regeneration in a letter and asked for our views about what to ask the developers in her whatsapp group. What will you ask? Write your views below.
What is interesting about her letter, below, is that it only appears to cover ‘council homes’ and ‘owner occupiers’ as types of resident affected by the regeneration. What about social housing? Our churches and businesses? The quality of the repairs promised to the tower blocks which do not appear to cover structural issues?
It is incredible that there is still no clarity on what will happen to the 600+ homeowners in central Ladywood and yet the regeneration is proceeding (‘options’ ‘being developed’ is similar to what Councillor Cotton said in July – ‘explore the provision of suitable financial mechanisms‘).
Please write to our MP as she now re-engages with the regeneration – including asking her to respond to the requests of George Smith.
