Ladywood Unite representatives turned away from council meeting

Ladywood Unite representatives were turned away from a meeting with council staff today. This was despite the booking being on the council’s own security log books. Instead of apologising, residents were blamed for turning up to the meeting, and security was called. Many of us had taken off work to attend the meeting.

We request an apology.

Council staff have missed eight of their own deadlines in replying to our substantive questions.

We are being painted as troublemakers when all we want to do is save our good quality homes, churches, and businesses, and ensure people who need problems in their council properties fixed get repairs soon.

The culture within the council is toxic and failure is the norm across numerous departments. This type of behaviour and missing of deadlines would not be accepted in any private sector industry, yet our city Council get away with it day in day out.
