Ladywood Unite is a group of local people affected by the Ladywood Regeneration. Many of us found out from a news article in June 2023 that showed our property was inside a red regeneration zone line and subject to potential demolition. We were then locked out of a meeting to learn more and our questions were ignored by the council and our Councillors for six months. We met in a church to form our group.
In February 2025, we leafleted all properties at risk of demolition inside the regeneration zone, and held a local event on 15 February 2025. Over 100+ people met in a local church and elected a group of 20 people to represent residents at risk of demolition.
