Today Birmingham City Council approved the Ladywood Neighbourhood Area designation application made by residents and workers in the Ladywood Regeneration Area.
More information is available here: https://www.birmingham.gov.uk/info/20054/local_plan_documents/299/neighbourhood_planning/2
This can be seen as good news because it is one of many steps towards a Neighbourhood Plan, which gives local people more power to decide what happens to them.

To join the forum, and get involved in the plan, email ladywoodunite@gmail.com. Thank you to everyone who has already joined and told the council we want a neighbourhood plan.
A reminder that Ladywood Unite CIC is looking for a part-time Community Organiser to work with residents affected by regeneration and potential demolition and displacement in Ladywood.
The role will involve supporting resident-led organising, community meetings, advocacy, communications, social media, capacity building and work on an alternative neighbourhood plan.
