Today the council sent us the below documents in response to our letter on 16 July. It appears that although council tenants will be re-housed in the area in one move, there is no such provision for private owners and renters. We also do not know about the quality of the new council housing – like for like? It appears that private home owners will be forced to move out and may not be able to move back into the area (see letter from 19 July – “explore mechanisms” – no current mechanisms exist). In the documents from 2019, there is no mention of non-council housing in the privately owned areas of Bellcroft, Ashton Croft, and Knoll Croft that the council never maintained. Only council residents were invited to join the Regeneration Committee – not people from these private properties. Our compulsory purchase risk and involvement in the regeneration at all is a surprise.

Absolutely shocking. Almost all of Ladywood is going to be demolished and we as council tenants, homeowners, business owners are left in the dark.
No assistant from anyone. .LikeLike

It is just outrageous that that this can happen and it be ok !! We are being turfed out of our own homes without due care and proper due consideration.
